Whitney Gatling, MS, LCMHCS, is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, professional trainer, and consultant with more than 15 years of experience in mental health counseling, trauma-informed care, and military-connected behavioral health. She is the founder of Sunshine Interventions, PLLC, where she provides professional training, consultation, and educational programs for counselors, behavioral health professionals, organizations, and community partners.
Whitney’s clinical and training work focuses on trauma recovery, veteran mental health, military cultural competence, nervous system regulation, heart rate variability, biofeedback-informed care, and culturally responsive counseling practices. She has presented at professional conferences, association events, and state-level trainings across North Carolina, helping providers strengthen their understanding of trauma, chronic stress, public servant wellness, and clinical interventions for military-connected and trauma-exposed populations.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Whitney brings extensive leadership experience in professional counseling organizations, advocacy initiatives, conference programming, and community-based education.
